When a board-topper like Mike Sainristil slides to the Round 4 slot, you do not overthink it, and the Patriots did not. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.

They will answer for taking cornerback early while wide receiver, interior defensive lineman and other spots went begging. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through wide receiver.

The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.
