Call it larceny. Jeffrey Bassa sat on the board until slot 234, and the Patriots did not need to be asked twice. It nets out to a B+, which feels about right.

They will need Gregory to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They will answer for taking linebacker early while quarterback went begging.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
