Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Smael Mondon Jr. got past him. The Patriots do not have to explain a thing at Round 7, Pick 1. Very little went wrong, and the A- is earned.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. The Robinson pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
