The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Raiders spent their marquee pick on Michael Penix Jr., and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.
On value alone, Rosemy-Jacksaint makes the weekend a net positive. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 13 they get a passer to set the clock by at fair value. A real need, handled.
A clean, defensible pick in pick No. 44 with a little surplus value in Ennis Rakestraw Jr.. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Jaylen Wright in Round 3, Pick 13 is fair value, right on his grade. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A straight-up fair deal on Sataoa Laumea at the Round 4 slot, value and slot in agreement. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Tyrone Tracy Jr. in the 147th overall pick is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They took Nathan Thomas at par in No. 207, which is nothing to complain about. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Fair-plus on Tyrice Knight, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint in slot 229 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
