When the story of this class is written, it opens with Le'Veon Moss at pick 112, a reach of 88 spots that the board flatly disagrees with.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Hecht. They will regret leaving wide receiver for another day if the season turns on it. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
So much rides on Caleb Downs that the real verdict is a season or two away.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 12th pick they get a quarterback's worst nightmare, though the board says they badly overpaid. Need was not the driver here.
A safety of that caliber at the Round 1 slot is the definition of value, full stop. It adds depth where they could use a little.
They talked themselves into Julian Neal at the 92nd overall pick, and the board did not agree. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Le'Veon Moss at No. 112 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. It fills a real need, too.

Trey Zuhn III in No. 218 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
