Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Rams spent the 61st pick on Cole Payton, a name most had 167 spots down the list.

They banked enough surplus on Masses to cover a lot of smaller sins. That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.
