The rest of the league had time to spare on Dametrious Crownover; the Texans did not wait, grabbing him 111 spots ahead at pick 28. A weekend of give and take that grades a C-.
They banked enough surplus on Miller to cover a lot of smaller sins. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped wide receiver, which is a strange place to end up. The roster is better shaped than it was, with running back chief among the fixes.
Not a disaster, not a triumph, just a middling class.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 28 they get a blindside protector, a steep price for the projection. A clean fit for the roster.
They reached a country mile for Ar'maj Reed-Adams at the 59th overall pick, and the board is aghast. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
