The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Cowboys reached some 59 spots for Antwaun Powell-Ryland, and value like that does not grow back. It grades a D+, and the process earned it.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. The Cowboys indulged a want in Powell-Ryland while a need in quarterback and tight end stayed open. That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.

The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and quarterback is still a hole.
