A sensible, unshowy class lands the Packers a B-.

2024 NFL Draft
· 8 picks
· 2 steals
· 3 reaches
They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Isaac Guerendo, 23 picks early at slot 88. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.
Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Beebe.
Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a plug-and-play piece up front. A real need, handled.
Edgerrin Cooper at the 41st overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
By-the-book stuff, Javon Bullard at pick No. 58 squarely in line with his ranking. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
They reached into another round for Isaac Guerendo, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A slide stopped in slot 91, with Cooper Beebe worth more than the price. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Jarrian Jones in Round 4, Pick 27, miles early. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Khristian Boyd in the 168th overall pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They read the board right and Elijah Jones was the payoff at No. 204. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
