The board owed the Eagles one, and it paid up: Jadarian Price, the No. 61 name on the board, sitting there at pick 98 like a gift left on the doorstep. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They went 7 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. They trusted the board more than the depth chart.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a ballhawk on the back end at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Chris Bell slid further than he should have, and No. 54 is lovely value for the wide receiver. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A slide stopped in pick 68, with Eli Stowers worth more than the price. The roster fit checks out.
The board fumbled Jadarian Price all the way to slot 98, and they scooped it up. It fills a real need, too.
Jalen Farmer in the 114th overall pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They let Trey Zuhn III come to them and pounced at Round 4, Pick 37. A need, and now a little less of one.
A cornerback of that caliber at pick No. 178 is the definition of value, full stop. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
By-the-book stuff, Cole Payton at the 197th pick squarely in line with his ranking. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
