Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles let Hecht fall and pounced. Final grade: D-.

by Philly V · 2026 NFL Draft · 11 picks · 2 steals · 2 reaches
Value B-
Need B
Trades F
Future C+

The Eagles lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. A D- that will need time and luck to look better.

They punted on safety, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Wright has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Hecht.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.23 · Pick 23 · Kenyon Sadiq · TE · rank 19
In Round 1, Pick 23 they get a seam-stretching tight end. A real need, handled.
R1.32 · Pick 32 · Joshua Josephs · DE-EDGE · rank 44
They paid up for Joshua Josephs at pick No. 32 when waiting would have done the job. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R2.32 · Pick 64 · Jonah Coleman · RB · rank 66
They paid sticker price for Jonah Coleman in pick 64, and that is fine. A need, and now a little less of one.
R3.32 · Pick 96 · Logan Jones · C · rank 90
Nothing to complain about; Logan Jones went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It fills a real need, too.
R4.14 · Pick 114 · Sam Hecht · C · rank 89
They will replay Sam Hecht at the 114th overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R4.37 · Pick 137 · Kaleb Proctor · DL · rank 134
Kaleb Proctor in the Round 4 slot lands just on the right side of the ledger. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R5.13 · Pick 153 · Malik Benson · WR · rank 144
The board had Malik Benson higher than pick 153, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
R5.29 · Pick 169 · Kevin Coleman Jr. · WR · rank 162
Kevin Coleman Jr. at the 169th pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the wide receiver. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
R5.38 · Pick 178 · Keagen Trost · OT · rank 180
Keagen Trost in No. 178 is fair value, right on his grade. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R6.16 · Pick 197 · Jeremiah Wright · OG · rank 213
They liked Jeremiah Wright enough to skip the value, taking him in Round 6, Pick 16. The roster fit checks out.
R6.29 · Pick 210 · Jadon Canady · CB · rank 210
Jadon Canady at slot 210 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
