Somebody took the Eagles to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it. It grades a D-, and the process earned it.
A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want. The Milton III reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.
Landing Wright that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 22nd pick they get a sticky cover corner, outstanding value to boot. The biggest hole, addressed.
The board had Bralen Trice higher than slot 50, and the edge rusher fell to them anyway. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A market-rate tight end, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Ja'Tavion Sanders. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They did well to land Cooper Beebe in the Round 3 slot, just ahead of his grade. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
No drama and no debate, Blake Fisher went about where he belonged in pick 97. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
By-the-book stuff, Beau Brade at No. 111 squarely in line with his ranking. A need, and now a little less of one.
No edge and no loss on Malik Washington in Round 4, Pick 19; it is a wash and a sensible one. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Value with a capital V on Dillon Johnson in the 126th overall pick, a genuine coup. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Cole Bishop in No. 137 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They liked Joe Milton III enough to skip the value, taking him in pick No. 147. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
A straight-up fair deal on Grayson Murphy at Round 5, Pick 27, value and slot in agreement. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They read the board right and Jaylen Wright was the payoff at pick 172. It fills a real need, too.
Javon Baker at slot 178 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Delmar Glaze in the Round 6 slot. The roster fit checks out.
Nice patience on JD Bertrand, who had no business lasting to the 204th pick. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Omar Speights at the 220th overall pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
Jeremy Flax in the 229th pick is fair value, right on his grade. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Phil Jurkovec in slot 243 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Joshua Cephus is a better player than the Round 7 slot suggests; smart patience, rewarded. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They paid sticker price for Dwight McGlothern in pick No. 255, and that is fine. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Mark Perry at pick 256. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
