The rest of the league had time to spare on Taylen Green; the Eagles did not wait, grabbing him 80 spots ahead at the Round 4 slot. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
The safety spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Sadiq pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.
They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the safety spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 25 they get a red-zone target to build around at a price that makes it sweeter. A clean fit for the roster.
Gennings Dunker at No. 54 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Jalon Kilgore at the 68th overall pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Mikail Kamara at the 89th pick is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
They paid sticker price for Bryce Lance in pick 98, and that is fine. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Taylen Green in pick No. 114, miles early. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They reached a country mile for Travis Burke at Round 4, Pick 29, and the board is aghast. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They paid a round early for Charles Demmings in pick No. 137, more than the board wanted. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Bobby Jamison-Travis at pick 178 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Dasan McCullough at the 257th overall pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
