The rest of the league had time to spare on Joshua Braun; the Eagles did not wait, grabbing him 95 spots ahead at pick 197. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.
The phones were where this weekend was really won. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Stribling.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
Good price on Kenyon Sadiq in Round 1, Pick 23, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Emmanuel McNeil-Warren at the 54th pick is money in the bank, a safety taken below his worth. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Value with a capital V on Gabe Jacas in the Round 3 slot, a genuine coup. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
The board had De'Zhaun Stribling higher than the 113th overall pick, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
