Start where it matters. The Patriots took Drake Maye to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. The final tally is a middling C+.

The trade table is where this weekend went wrong. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

The Patriots indulged a want in Solomon while a need in edge rusher and safety stayed open. The Jordan pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

So much rides on Drake Maye that the real verdict is a season or two away.
