The trade table was a mismatch, and the Packers were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value.
The Bullock pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher, quarterback and other spots still on the board. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Ogbo Okoronkwo gives the group a proven body among the projects.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 25th overall pick they get a potential shutdown corner. Exactly the need they had to hit.
No drama and no debate, Payton Wilson went about where he belonged in pick No. 54. A minor itch, scratched.
They paid sticker price for Javon Bullard in the 58th pick, and that is fine. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Blake Corum at No. 85 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
They bypassed pressing needs at edge rusher, quarterback and other spots to take Calen Bullock, a safety that was not the priority.
Dominick Puni in Round 3, Pick 28 is fair value, right on his grade. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Nice patience on Elijah Jones, who had no business lasting to the Round 4 slot. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Marist Liufau at pick 169 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the linebacker. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
