This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Anthony Gould, the No. 142 name on the board, stolen at the 216th pick. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
The Cowboys indulged a want in Solomon while a need in quarterback and tight end stayed open. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 24 they get an anchor for the offensive line at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
A tidy bit of business in slot 63, where Jonathon Brooks graded well above the range. A need, and now a little less of one.
DJ James in pick No. 87 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.

Circle this one: Beau Brade at the 174th overall pick is a fall that decides a draft. It adds depth where they could use a little.

Justin Rogers at No. 233 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Jha'Quan Jackson in Round 7, Pick 24, plain and simple. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
