This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Josaiah Stewart, the No. 42 name on the board, stolen at the 253rd pick.
The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.
The Patriots clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.
In the end it comes back to Jahdae Barron, and a haul good enough to build on right away.

You do not let a cornerback like Jahdae Barron reach No. 69 and blink. They did not. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Ashton Jeanty in the 77th overall pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It fills a real need, too.
The board fumbled Wyatt Milum all the way to Round 4, Pick 1, and they scooped it up. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Somehow Tyler Booker was still sitting there in slot 105, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.

Walter Nolen at the 177th pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They robbed the room for Josaiah Stewart here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
