Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Patriots were there to profit. Oronde Gadsden II, the No. 128 name on the board, should have been long gone before the 220th overall pick.
The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. The veteran additions, Micah Parsons chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.
On the needs board they went 2 of 8, with running back the one that mattered most.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
