Somebody took the Cowboys to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it. A F, plain and simple.
The whole projection now runs through Drake Maye; hit there and everything else looks smarter. The Wiley pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.
For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. It is a win-now wager, and the future is the stake.
About as rough as a weekend gets on paper, with interior defensive lineman still staring back at them.

Patrick Paul at slot 56 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A top-tier linebacker at a bargain, Junior Colson in Round 4, Pick 4, plain and simple. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
A quiet steal in pick No. 176: Jaylen Wright for less than the market said. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A straight-up fair deal on Braiden McGregor at the Round 6 slot, value and slot in agreement. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Michael Wiley at the 242nd overall pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Steal is underselling it; Jha'Quan Jackson at No. 249 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
