Denver Broncos

Grand theft in pick 113: the Broncos steal Igbinosun and grade out a C-.

Somebody in the 113th overall pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Broncos sat still while Davison Igbinosun, the No. 80 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. Some smart calls, some head-scratchers, and a C- in the wash.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Reaching for Randall left real value on the table behind him.

Bottom line, the swing picks will decide whether this ages well.

Pick-by-Pick

R2.30 · Pick 62 · Jacob Rodriguez · LB · rank 51
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Jacob Rodriguez at slot 62. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R3.1 · Pick 65 · Jadarian Price · RB · rank 61
A tidy little value on Jadarian Price in the 65th pick, a step better than break-even. The roster fit checks out.
R4.4 · Pick 104 · Skyler Bell · WR · rank 85
Taking Skyler Bell in pick No. 104 is close to grand larceny; a wide receiver that good had no business lasting this long. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R4.13 · Pick 113 · Davison Igbinosun · CB · rank 80
The board fumbled Davison Igbinosun all the way to the 113th overall pick, and they scooped it up. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
R4.26 · Pick 126 · Oscar Delp · TE · rank 133
A straight-up fair deal on Oscar Delp at Round 4, Pick 26, value and slot in agreement. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
R4.28 · Pick 128 · Chris McClellan · DT · rank 143
The board had cheaper options than Chris McClellan at the Round 4 slot, and it noticed. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R6.24 · Pick 205 · Keagen Trost · OT · rank 184
Keagen Trost in pick 205 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
R7.30 · Pick 246 · Eli Heidenreich · WR · rank 252
By-the-book stuff, Eli Heidenreich at No. 246 squarely in line with his ranking. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
R7.40 · Pick 256 · Adam Randall · RB · rank 283
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Adam Randall well ahead of where he belonged. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
R7.41 · Pick 257 · Logan Taylor · OG · rank 268
They liked Logan Taylor enough to skip the value, taking him in pick 257. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
