The Dolphins did not so much draft Kaleb Elarms-Orr as overpay for him, 40 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend.

Stukes falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The Dolphins indulged a want in Johnson while a need in quarterback, interior defensive lineman and other spots stayed open.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
