The Commanders spent real capital to be 48 picks early on Jowon Briggs, and the board is going to hold them to it.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. They have staked the next five years on Jayden Daniels, which is the only story that really matters here. That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, running back very much included.
