Somebody in pick 119 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Cardinals sat still while Mikail Kamara, the No. 24 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.
If Allar pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The wide receiver hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 18 they get protection for the quarterback, though the board says they badly overpaid. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
They reached into another round for Drew Allar, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Steal is underselling it; Shemar Stewart at Round 3, Pick 16 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They barely believed it either: Mikail Kamara still on the board at the Round 4 slot. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Karene Reid in pick No. 154 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It fills a real need, too.
