The rest of the league will want that one back. Dallin Holker tumbling to the Dolphins in Round 6, Pick 23 is a gift they did not have to think twice about.
Milton III has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The wide receiver hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
They left with quarterback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 27 they get a disruptive interior force at a price that makes it sweeter. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Fair-plus on Junior Colson, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They liked Cole Bishop enough to skip the value, taking him in Round 3, Pick 30. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
They paid sticker price for Will Shipley in pick No. 104, and that is fine. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Steal is underselling it; Chau Smith-Wade at the 158th overall pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Joe Milton III in pick 165 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Dwight McGlothern at No. 184 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
Dallin Holker in the Round 6 slot should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It fills a real need, too.
Solomon Byrd at the 241st overall pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
