Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Rams spent the Round 7 slot on Ricardo Hallman, a name most had 56 spots down the list. No fireworks, but a solid B-.
The Scott steal is the beam this whole class leans on. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through wide receiver.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 13 they get a blindside protector, reach and all. The biggest hole, addressed.
They read the board right and A.J. Haulcy was the payoff at the 61st pick. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Keionte Scott at No. 93 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
A real head-scratcher, Diego Pavia in pick No. 207 is miles ahead of his ranking. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They reached a country mile for Robert Spears-Jennings at pick 232, and the board is aghast. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
They talked themselves into Ricardo Hallman at Round 7, Pick 35, and the board did not agree. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
