The Fa'alili Fa'amoe pick is the one that will follow the Rams into the fall. They took him 50 spots ahead of his grade, and the board is not shy about saying so.
Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Wetjen value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. They went 5 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 13 they get the heartbeat of the defense. More want than need.
Fair-plus on Eli Stowers, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. The roster fit checks out.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Elijah Sarratt at No. 93. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Bishop Fitzgerald in Round 4, Pick 29 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Fa'alili Fa'amoe at pick 207 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Nothing to complain about; Thaddeus Dixon went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A minor itch, scratched.
They let Kaden Wetjen come to them and pounced at slot 251. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
