The curious call sets the tone. With edge rusher, quarterback and other spots still glaring, the Packers used pick No. 74 on Maason Smith, a DT-EDGE they were not exactly short of. It washes out to a C+, no better and no worse.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. The Allen reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

A small leak at the table, if not a fatal one.

If Kamren Kinchens and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
