This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, the No. 51 name on the board, stolen at slot 85. No fireworks, but a solid B-.
The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. If Spears-Jennings pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They left with interior defensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 21 they get a three-down second-level presence at fair value. A real need, handled.
Gennings Dunker slipping to the Round 2 slot is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
They robbed the room for Germie Bernard here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Emmanuel McNeil-Warren in pick No. 85 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Somehow Domonique Orange was still sitting there in the 99th overall pick, and they pounced on premier interior defensive lineman value. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Julian Neal at pick 121 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. The roster fit checks out.
A premium they did not need to pay, Aamil Wagner a notch or two before his time. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
Ephesians Prysock in the 183rd pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Keyshaun Elliott in No. 216 is fair value, right on his grade. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Nothing to complain about; Zavion Thomas went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It fills a real need, too.
A quiet steal in slot 230: Miles Kitselman for less than the market said. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They jumped the gun on Robert Spears-Jennings, taking him earlier than his grade liked. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
