The board owed the Vikings one, and it paid up: Tyler Booker, the No. 38 name on the board, sitting there at pick 138 like a gift left on the doorstep. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. Safety was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 24 they get a bell-cow for the offense, outstanding value to boot. A real need, handled.
They will replay Zy Alexander at pick No. 97 for years; that is how good the value is. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Tyler Booker in Round 5, Pick 1 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
