They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jayden Daniels is the Commanders' quarterback, full stop. It holds up to a second look, which is why it earns the A.
The Allen pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck.
Getting Sanders where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. The Bishop pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with cornerback and interior defensive lineman still on the board.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through cornerback.
In short, they turned a good board into a better roster, and it shows.
Pick-by-Pick
Jayden Daniels in the 5th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The roster fit checks out.
By-the-book stuff, Adonai Mitchell at slot 34 squarely in line with his ranking. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A quiet steal in pick No. 35: Troy Fautanu for less than the market said. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Chop Robinson at the 36th overall pick. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A tight end of that caliber at the Round 3 slot is the definition of value, full stop. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Circle this one: Junior Colson at pick 69 is a fall that decides a draft. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Nice patience on Javon Bullard, who had no business lasting to Round 3, Pick 7. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Braelon Allen in No. 78 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
