The Lions bet big and early on Austin Barber, 57 picks ahead of the board. Bold does not always mean right. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.
The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The back end got a real overhaul.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

In slot 17 they get a ballhawk on the outside. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
