The Cardinals treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending pick No. 78 on Dillon Gabriel a full 49 spots early.
The Walker value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.
Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 16 they get a building block for the line, even if it was a touch early. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
The board fumbled Jalon Walker all the way to pick No. 47, and they scooped it up. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Dillon Gabriel at Round 3, Pick 14 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
