B
Kansas City Chiefs
Good, not great, for the Chiefs: B.
by LocNationGaming ·
2024 NFL Draft
· 7 picks
· 3 steals
· 1 reaches
There is reaching, and then there is Jaden Shirden at slot 252. The Chiefs jumped the board by 31 and dared it to prove them wrong. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
They punted on tight end, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. On value alone, Oladapo makes the weekend a net positive.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but tight end.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a true top target. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Xavier Worthy in pick 64 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Khyree Jackson at the 95th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A minor itch, scratched.
By-the-book stuff, Roger Rosengarten at Round 4, Pick 32 squarely in line with his ranking. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
The board had Kitan Oladapo higher than the 166th overall pick, and the safety fell to them anyway. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
A slide stopped in pick No. 173, with Marist Liufau worth more than the price. It fills a real need, too.
They talked themselves into Jaden Shirden at Round 7, Pick 32, and the board did not agree. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
