Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens kept it disciplined and banked a B.

Nobody had Eric Gentry this high, and it is not close. The Ravens reached 108 spots to get him at slot 244.

Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Hurst. Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

Pick-by-Pick

R2.13 · Pick 45 · Emmanuel Pregnon · OG · rank 39
Emmanuel Pregnon at the Round 2 slot nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
R2.17 · Pick 49 · Anthony Hill Jr. · LB · rank 38
Anthony Hill Jr. slipping to the 49th pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
R3.16 · Pick 80 · Jake Slaughter · C · rank 55
A offensive lineman of that caliber at Round 3, Pick 16 is the definition of value, full stop. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
R3.18 · Pick 82 · Keionte Scott · CB · rank 60
The board fumbled Keionte Scott all the way to No. 82, and they scooped it up. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
R4.15 · Pick 115 · Ted Hurst · WR · rank 89
Circle this one: Ted Hurst at pick 115 is a fall that decides a draft. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R5.14 · Pick 154 · Isaiah World · OT · rank 145
Isaiah World at slot 154 is money in the bank, a offensive lineman taken below his worth. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
R5.22 · Pick 162 · Zxavian Harris · DT · rank 154
The board had Zxavian Harris higher than pick 162, and the interior defensive lineman fell to them anyway. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R5.23 · Pick 163 · Domani Jackson · CB · rank 174
They jumped the gun on Domani Jackson, taking him earlier than his grade liked. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
R5.33 · Pick 173 · Taylen Green · QB · rank 186
Taylen Green in Round 5, Pick 33 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R5.34 · Pick 174 · Jeff Caldwell · WR · rank 187
A conviction pick on Jeff Caldwell at No. 174 that the board grades a round light. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
R6.30 · Pick 211 · Isaiah Jatta · OT · rank 244
Isaiah Jatta at the 211th overall pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R7.4 · Pick 220 · Bryce Foster · C · rank 251
A big swing on Bryce Foster at the Round 7 slot, well ahead of any board in the building. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R7.19 · Pick 235 · Nolan Rucci · OT · rank 253
Nolan Rucci at pick No. 235 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
R7.28 · Pick 244 · Eric Gentry · LB · rank 352
They reached a country mile for Eric Gentry at slot 244, and the board is aghast. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
R7.34 · Pick 250 · Marvin Jones Jr. · LB-EDGE · rank 336
Marvin Jones Jr. in pick No. 250 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
R7.37 · Pick 253 · Adam Randall · RB · rank 274
They talked themselves into Adam Randall at No. 253, and the board did not agree. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
