When a board-topper like Cody Simon slides to Round 5, Pick 14, you do not overthink it, and the Cardinals did not.
Reaching for Sawyer left real value on the table behind him. They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
