The Dallen Bentley selection is the head-turner. The Ravens reached 32 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered.
On value alone, Stowers makes the weekend a net positive. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 14th overall pick they get a plug-and-play piece up front at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Omar Cooper Jr. slid further than he should have, and Round 2, Pick 13 is lovely value for the wide receiver. It fills a real need, too.
Circle this one: Eli Stowers at pick No. 80 is a fall that decides a draft. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Logan Jones in pick 115 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Nadame Tucker well ahead of where he belonged. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Zxavian Harris in the Round 5 slot. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They reached a country mile for Ephesians Prysock at the 173rd pick, and the board is aghast. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A real head-scratcher, Dallen Bentley in pick No. 174 is miles ahead of his ranking. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They paid a round early for Thaddeus Dixon in No. 211, more than the board wanted. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
A conviction pick on Jack Kelly at slot 250 that the board grades a round light. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Adam Randall in Round 7, Pick 37, miles early. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
