The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Jaylin Noel, Round 5, Pick 11, roughly 53 picks past where he belonged. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.
The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
Ashton Jeanty slid further than he should have, and No. 12 is lovely value for the running back. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Somehow Nick Emmanwori was still sitting there in the 44th pick, and they pounced on premier safety value. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
You do not let a linebacker like Demetrius Knight Jr. reach the Round 3 slot and blink. They did not. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They barely believed it either: Jaylin Noel still on the board at slot 149. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Taking Logan Brown in the 171st overall pick is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
No drama and no debate, Jack Nelson went about where he belonged in Round 5, Pick 36. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
