Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Broncos spent the 257th pick on Dominic Zvada, a name most had 44 spots down the list. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.
The Ramsey steal is the beam this whole class leans on. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through linebacker.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
They took Jadarian Price at par in No. 62, which is nothing to complain about. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Kamari Ramsey at slot 110 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
A straight-up fair deal on Oscar Delp at the 127th pick, value and slot in agreement. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Chris McClellan at the 133rd overall pick is a conviction pick that outran the value. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Caleb Douglas at pick 170 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. The roster fit checks out.
Keagen Trost at Round 6, Pick 8 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. A need, and now a little less of one.
TJ Hall in the 246th overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Luke Altmyer in the Round 7 slot is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A big swing on Dominic Zvada at slot 257, well ahead of any board in the building. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
