The Eagles did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Jha'Quan Jackson fell into the 210th overall pick.
They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. They are betting Bortolini proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 22 they get a press-man option on the boundary. The biggest hole, addressed.
A tidy bit of business in No. 50, where Darius Robinson graded well above the range. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A clean, defensible pick in pick No. 53 with a little surplus value in Edgerrin Cooper. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
They liked Christian Jones enough to skip the value, taking him in the 120th pick. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Jaheim Bell at pick 161 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.

Tanor Bortolini at the Round 5 slot jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. A need, and now a little less of one.
They will replay Jha'Quan Jackson at the 210th overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
