The Chiefs went off the board in a big way for Diego Pavia, 72 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another.
On value alone, Trost makes the weekend a net positive. They punted on linebacker, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the linebacker spot they never got to.

Rueben Bain Jr. at Round 1, Pick 9 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
