Atlanta Falcons

A solid, sensible weekend for the Falcons: B-.

Everything else got attention, and offensive lineman got none. That is a strange way for the Falcons to leave a draft.

The Moore reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. Getting Rolder where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Pick-by-Pick

R2.16 · Pick 48 · Zachariah Branch · WR · rank 60
They went early on Zachariah Branch in pick 48, and the value did not follow. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
R3.15 · Pick 79 · Devin Moore · CB · rank 93
A conviction pick on Devin Moore at the 79th pick that the board grades a round light. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
R4.22 · Pick 122 · Caden Curry · DE-EDGE · rank 131
They jumped the gun on Caden Curry, taking him earlier than his grade liked. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
R6.34 · Pick 215 · Bobby Jamison-Travis · DT · rank 212
They did well to land Bobby Jamison-Travis in the 215th overall pick, just ahead of his grade. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R7.15 · Pick 231 · Jimmy Rolder · LB · rank 221
Jimmy Rolder slid further than he should have, and slot 231 is lovely value for the linebacker. The roster fit checks out.
