Thirty-one other rooms let Barrett Carter slide, and the Patriots were the ones holding the card at Round 5, Pick 6. Highway robbery. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
They are betting Morris proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

In the 4th overall pick they get a press-man option on the boundary. Need was not the driver here.
No edge and no loss on Matthew Golden in pick No. 38; it is a wash and a sensible one. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
