If confidence were a draft strategy, the Rams would have aced it. Kyron Drones at pick No. 207 is 121 spots clear of where he belonged. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Nowakowski. They punted on wide receiver, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
Safety was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Good work on the whole, with wide receiver the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 13th pick they get an island corner. Need was not the driver here.
A reach for Kamari Ramsey in the Round 2 slot; a little patience would have been rewarded. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
A real head-scratcher, Markel Bell in slot 93 is miles ahead of his ranking. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Value said wait; Kyron Drones in the 207th overall pick says they were not listening. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Andre Fuller in No. 232 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
They will replay Riley Nowakowski at pick 251 for years; that is how good the value is. The roster fit checks out.
A slide stopped in Round 7, Pick 36, with Jaydn Ott worth more than the price. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
