The Giants ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided. Little to argue with here, and the A- says so.
Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. However the rest shakes out, Pritchett at that price is a win they earned.
The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.
A strong weekend's work, and a rare one to find this little fault with.
Pick-by-Pick
Xavier Legette at slot 47 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A straight-up fair deal on Rod Moore at pick No. 69, value and slot in agreement. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Christian Haynes in the 80th overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Roman Wilson at pick 92 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Blake Fisher in Round 4, Pick 5 is fair value, right on his grade. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
No drama and no debate, Junior Colson went about where he belonged in the Round 4 slot. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Cam Hart at No. 130 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Nehemiah Pritchett at the 142nd pick is money in the bank, a cornerback taken below his worth. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
By-the-book stuff, Bru McCoy at the 183rd pick squarely in line with his ranking. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
