The phones were where this weekend was really won. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.
DK Metcalf gives the group a proven body among the projects. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Dylan Fairchild slipping to the Round 3 slot is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It fills a real need, too.
Josh Conerly Jr. at the 77th pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Tai Felton slid further than he should have, and Round 4, Pick 4 is lovely value for the wide receiver. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They will replay Barrett Carter at the 143rd overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
They robbed the room for Cam Skattebo here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. A need, and now a little less of one.
Nicholas Singleton at slot 220 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
You do not let a running back like Le'Veon Moss reach pick No. 241 and blink. They did not. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
