The Ravens treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending pick 248 on Ayodele Adeoye a full 197 spots early. For now it grades a C-, with the swing picks left to settle the rest.
Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Cole Holcomb deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.
The verdict is a shrug for now, with the swing picks left to write the real ending.
Pick-by-Pick
They reached into another round for Aki Ogunbiyi, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
The board had cheaper options than Jaheim Bell at pick 125, and it noticed. A need, and now a little less of one.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Brian Ugwu in pick No. 131, miles early. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
They reached a country mile for Myles Cole at the 134th overall pick, and the board is aghast. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Fabien Lovett at slot 173 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Value with a capital V on Eric Watts in the Round 6 slot, a genuine coup. The roster fit checks out.
A real head-scratcher, Ayodele Adeoye in pick No. 248 is miles ahead of his ranking. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
