Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Cowboys, and the value they bled adds up to real damage.
The Hill Jr. value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. Leaving wide receiver unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.
They are betting Perkins Jr. proves the room right and everyone else wrong.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 12 they get a potential shutdown corner. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Anthony Hill Jr. in Round 2, Pick 30 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Kyle Louis in slot 92. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They went early on Harold Perkins Jr. in the 112th overall pick, and the value did not follow. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Louis Moore at pick 152 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
The board had Aamil Wagner higher than the 177th pick, and the offensive lineman fell to them anyway. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Nice patience on Febechi Nwaiwu, who had no business lasting to pick No. 180. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Noah Whittington at No. 218 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
