They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Harold Perkins Jr., 37 picks early at No. 92. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. Reed-Adams at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. The Jordyn Brooks deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.
Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 12th overall pick they get a lockdown presence outside. Exactly the need they had to hit.
In Round 1, Pick 20 they get a quarterback's worst nightmare, though the board says they badly overpaid. Need was not the driver here.
A big swing on Harold Perkins Jr. at pick No. 92, well ahead of any board in the building. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Nice patience on Kaytron Allen, who had no business lasting to No. 152. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
They read the board right and Bryce Boettcher was the payoff at slot 177. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.

Good price on TJ Hall in slot 218, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
