The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Patriots spent their marquee pick on Jayden Daniels, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.
The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. A whole weekend of picks and interior defensive lineman is somehow still a want.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 6 they get a long-term answer under center at fair value.
In the Round 1 slot they get a true top target. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Keon Coleman at the 46th pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They paid sticker price for T.J. Tampa in the 56th overall pick, and that is fine. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
By-the-book stuff, Kingsley Suamataia at pick No. 68 squarely in line with his ranking. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They took Ben Sinnott at par in pick 103, which is nothing to complain about. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A reach for Tommy Eichenberg in No. 137; a little patience would have been rewarded. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Khristian Boyd at slot 180 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Kalen King in Round 6, Pick 18 is fair value, right on his grade. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
Garret Greenfield in the 231st overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
